Something Special For Someone Special

Hi and welcome to my Something Special For Someone Special blog post! How nice is it to be able to give that special someone a lovely gift that makes them feel special on their birthday? I very much enjoy creating things for people that are unique so that they are able to give special gifts to their friends, family and those people they call special. I have started to branch out as a business into new and diverse projects that are nothing like what I have been making before. I wanted to share these gifts I created for my friend as it is becoming harder to find unique gifts with many retailers who generally stock these types of things shutting down or moving.

Today's gift set is made up of two very unique and personalised items that made these birthday gifts incredibly special without burning a hole in my hip pocket. Both these projects are made using basic items I purchased at various retailers which I was then able to add a design to in order to take them to the next level. The first item I would like to share with you is this cute tote style handbag I thought I would jazz up with a personalised design. My friend dresses alot in pale or pastel colours and really loves owls making the handbag perfect for the base design. I brought the two elements together by adding this cool owl design to the handbag and chose to make the design the sole feature. The bag has a polyeurethane exterior which means it is water resistant and would take the print really well. As you can see I have used metallic materials for the design with a rose gold / silver contrast which definitely made the design pop and sparkle as you moved.

The second item I made for my friend's birthday was a basic navy hoodie that I decorated with an image of her dog that was created using a real photo to make it extra special. I created a tag line for the hoodie to match the personality of her dog and used a light pink material to give a funky contrast to the hoodie...even though it doesn't seem pink in the photo.

These were really fun projects to make and I invested in a few extra black handbags to ensure I had a few extra on hand for sale if you find yourself interested, however I can add designs to other types of bags as well. I have been making a number of clothing items with images on them for special occasions and even for work atire so if you find yourself thinking you'd like something in particular then feel free to enquire. I am also connecting with a local graphic designer who works with ActsIntuitively who has been helping me to complete some of my more complex designs, so a big thankyou to them.

As you can see my creations are expanding and I am doing so much more than cards these days, so if you find yourself wanting something unique and different feel free to contact me and I'll see if I can recommend something just for you. Thanks for reading my post and please feel free to leave me a comment or contact me if you see something you like or if you would like Something Special made for your Someone Special. Now it's time for me to go back to Secretly Scrapbooking!
