Hi everyone, I would just like to say welcome to my blog post! How amazing is it to know someone who has turned 100, the funniest thing is he wasn't even the oldest there. It's the first person that I know who has lived for a century with such an unusual, colourful life that he has led with so many stories to tell. With someone so amazing in your life how can you not make them an equally amazing card. He was very spoilt and there was so many letters including one from the Queen, Governor General, Prime Minister and the West Australian Premier congratulating him on his 100th birthday. Here is a picture with my amazing great uncle.

I chose the Nailed It stamp set and framelits for this blog which I know is retired but I couldn’t resist using this set as it fit in so well for the birthday boy. I chose to make a side step card, I really love this type of design as this card still folds reasonably flat so it can fit in an envelope easily and looks quite special when on display. For this card I used the Stampin' Blends to colour in the tools with Dapper Denim cardstock, Wood Textures DSP and Silver Foil cardstock. I have shown a few photos below of how my card turned out and to give you an idea of the dimensions.
For the inside of the card I used a combination of the Nailed It and the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp sets. The Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set is a sneak peak item from the 2018 Occasions Catalogue.
I hope this post has given you some ideas and encouragement to try this style of card. I have listed the YouTube link below that I used as a basis for the card design:
