Hi and welcome to my Country Happy Birthday blog post! On the 18th December it was my Grandma's Birthday so I wanted to make her a special card as she had gone into hospital a couple of days prior to her birthday. It was her 89th birthday and she loves little cottages and as she grew up on a farm I thought it would be nice to make this cottage raised double fold over style card.
Note: This blog post contains products purchased from Stampin’ Up!®. Latest Catalogue is here.
For this card you will get a little sneak peak of a few items that will be available in January in the Occasions Catalogue. I used the Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper, the Lemon Lime Twist and Whister White cardstock. For the featured images I used the Cozy Cottage Host stamp set (from the Occasions Catalogue) and I also used the cow from the Banyard Animals stampset (Retired item) which I fussy cut. The stamped images were filled in using the Stampin' Blends and Aqua Painter to do the grass. THe sentiment was taken from the Fruit Basket stamp set (from the Occasions Catalogue) which was stamped onto a section of card I cut with the trimmer. To finish off the card I put a Faceted Gem either side of the sentiment.
I hope this post has given you some more ideas to create your own raised double fold over style card. I have listed the link below that I used as a basis for my design:
